Blugre Coffee: A Delectable Media Gathering

I have posted the details of the gathering in my personal blog post here. Blugre has an on-going photo contest, Blugre stores in Davao City are being renovated they are expanding BIG TIME with a head start at their Abreeza branch, Tagum and Davao Doctors College Branch which will be opening this 28th of February.

We all had a wonderful experience in the good hands of Ms. Joanne Siy, VP for Operations of Blugre. It was a Mindanao-wide blogger meeting and our batch happen to meet at the Blugre Gaisano Mall branch. The shop in this branch is counter type; it's an open cafe. Nonetheless, the aesthetics (i.e furnitures. . . ) and service are of the same value as those in the closed shop types.

I've always known Blugre for their renowned durian coffee but I was glad to have experienced more of what they can offer. There are times when I am not in the mood for coffee but I'd still want to experience the soothing feeling of staying at a coffee shop.

I just found myself a new comfort drink and a new favorite iced tea blend.  We're one of the  first to taste Blugre's house blended iced tea and I really really appreciate the concoction. They also have 'raspberry-flavored iced tea' so if by chance you get to visit Blugre and you're not in the mood for coffee, you might as well have iced tea.

We've paired those unforgettable iced tea with tuna cheese melt and what can I  say? It's a perfect combination. Comfort food in a comfortable place = a very satisfying snack for a very relax-worthy day.

Do you like cheese? Or those very appetizing bite size food? Here's both in one very delicious recipe. These cheese roll bites are yummy. The child in me wants the combination of cheese and cream on it.

For the person who loves cakes but doesn't really appreciate anything that is too sweet, Blugre's choco torte is perfect for you. Ma'am Joanne insisted that we try this pastry and she left us wanting more. At an instant, we devoured the cake.

I now believe that Blugre has so much to offer. They're not just a cup of coffee . .  they're also signature pastries, house blended iced teas, snacks and everything I can think of when it comes to resto-cafes.

Since I haven't brought my camera that day, I'm sorry for the indecent pictures. I assure you though that these food are best eaten and not visualized so you may now visit the nearest Blugre Coffee branch near you :)

Blugre Coffee: Not Just a Cup of Coffee. . .

Founded in 1998, Blugre Coffee had withstand the test of time. Indeed, they were the pioneer and leading coffee shop in Davao and the coming of heavy competitions did not leave them behind. In fact, Blugre Coffee persisted in innovating, expanding and even franchising where they had Mindanao's pride, Manny Pacquiaio, to be their master franchisee.

They now have 6 branches in Davao namely: Landco, MTS, SM Davao, SM Lanang, Gaisano Mall and Abreeza; and 2 in General Santos City: Robinson's and at SM City GenSan.

"We are not just a cup of coffee; we are a global brand, a lifestyle and a brand that gives back!"

This was shared by none other than Ms. Joanne Siy, VP for Operations, in the social media gathering held 2 weeks ago.

Blugre has indeed conquered the Metr0 and lived up to being the genuine King of Coffees in Mindanao. Imagine Davao without Blugre, then you'll get a lacking Mindanao coffee lifestyle.

True to Ms. Siy's statement Blugre will now be a global brand for their planning to expand not just in Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Manila, Makati, Ortigas, Calamba, Pampanga and Baguio but also as far as Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Toronto, Adeleide, Las Vegas and Paris.

That's a lot to look forward to and it's such a great step for Davao's pride. It's something Not just the Blugre company, but us Dabawenyos should be proud of.

As a few huge steps to this globalization, Blugre just opened in Tagum last February 22 and it'll be brewing at the Davao Doctor's college branch this coming 28th of February.

Another update: They have an on-going photo contest running up until March 31, 2013.

Human Nature Magalogue Turnover

Behold the Jan-Feb issue of Human Nature's magalogue (magazine/catalogue). Its turnover was held at Plaza del Carmen Loyola St. Obrero, Davao City last 19th of January. To tell you the truth, I've known the brand for so long but I don't even have a first hand experience with it. So let me introduce it to you while introducing it for myself as well. Haha!

Human Nature is a 100% Filipino brand that offers natural and organic personal care and make up products. Actually, in their turnover that I attended, they have just launched and introduced a new set of products: Tough Love.

Tough Love is composed of Tough Love Natural Dish Washing Liquid and Tough Love 100% Natural Liquid Detergent. Doesn't it surprise you that fabric softener and even dish washing liquid has a new ingredient called Vitamin E in their  packaging? They are indeed harmful for the skin as much as they are harmful to bacteria.  It's the exact reason why you get that scaly dry hands after doing the laundry or even after washing the dishes.

Homemakers, house helpers and even I need not to worry after handling the laundry or the dishes. These products

Php 299.75
I remember that my mother used to pick a detergent that smells good hence she chooses fragrant detergents for our clothes. Unfortunately, these synthetic scents may cause discoloration specifically in white clothes or linens. This causes her to buy bleach for a bright white effect on the laundry but then again it can make the clothes dry and crisp so she would need a fabric conditioner. It's a never ending chain of consumption and a never ending use of chemicals which isn't good for the skin. This Tough Love detergent is mild for our skin and it doesn't have harmful chemicals.
Php 89.75
Another good product of Tough Love is their liquid dish washing soap. It's tough on grease but gentle on hands. What I like about these is its citrus smell. I can't wait to post my sponsored review of this product.

In addition for this quarter's new set of Human Nature products, they also have:

Pure Strength Deodorant
Php 89.75

Natural Shampoo
Cool Peppermint Scent
Php 44.75 (50ml)
Php 129.75 (200ml)
All Natural Spray Sanitizer - Tropical Burst
Php 59.75 (50ml)
Php 189.75 (200ml)

Fellow Davao Bloggers :)
If your skin is delicate and sensitive and you want to give it the best care possible, you definitely need these organic and natural products at your home.

Bioessence Launches Exilshape

Oooooh. . . boo for this backlog but nonetheless I've decided to post it. Bioessence conducted a press conference last November 26, 2012 to introduce their newest slimming treatment - the EXILSHAPE.

It was spearheaded by Dra. Guerrero, the birthday celebrant and the owner herself, Mr. Jules, their Marketing Director, and one of their endorsers Ms. Nikki Gil. Bioessence has been in the beauty and wellness industry for 18 years and I must  say they have gone a long way. They have incorporated technology to come up with good innovations that, over the years, changed the course of beauty perspective and industry.

I know we've been past the Christmas season where a lot lifted their diets and savored all the chances for eating delicious, delightful and fatty foods. Afterwards, a lot have been meaning have a new year's resolution of living a healthy lifestyle and losing the weight they gained. Moreover, summer is fast approaching and who doesn't want that body beautiful that fits in a nice trunk or bathing suit?

This now brings me to WHAT IS EXILSHAPE?

  • Exilis is the device (approved by US FDA) that can reduce fat, tighten skin and reduce wrinkles.
  • It is  non-invasive which means no break in into the skin will occur. This is not considered as a surgery. It uses thermal waves to heat up one's skin and target the fats.
  • This is applicable for those who are 10-15 lbs overweight. One must not rely on the device totally. This service focuses more on skin tightening rather than removal of fats. I put an emphasis on 'reduction' of fats and not total removal.

Grabbed this photo from Ms. Nikki Gil's IG account

So that's it. We must nurture ourselves inside and we don't have to wait until we reach 40's. Ms. Nikki Gil attended because she supports the campaign of taking care of yourself as early as 25 years old.

We're not getting any younger. I myself would love to support this campaign <3

Dressed Up for Vegas

A person’s event visit would never be complete without his or her attire. People always put extra effort especially when attending birthdays, reunions and even Christmas parties.

I think every girl had been confronted of the dilemma that she has nothing to wear (when in fact there are a lot of clothes in her closet) She just want something new.

I won’t deny that I am guilty of what I’m saying. I always want to get dolled up and wear something that’s in style. However, most students (including me) face budget deficit. Here’s my secret and a glimpse of what I wore to Davao Bloggers Christmas party.

The bead works <3
Flash overload. So this is how I look when I'm tisay :P
I really appreciate my morena skin tone  though :)

This candy green textured gown with a very high slit and a daring back matched our Vegas themed party. I wanted to pair it gold accessories and a pair of gold pumps. . . silver would also do. However, I’d rather be simple than over do it or worse, go over my budget.

A glimpse of me at the party: Photos above are from Kuya Mike and Kuya Fra :)

I think I pulled of a simple, sexy and classy look. Here’s some shots where my boyfriend and I took advantage of the street lights after the party.

I hope I did justice to this dress.
Love lots,

Beloy's Lechon Belly First in Davao

This is a late post but I think it’s just in time for the Noche Buena and Media Noche. I am very grateful to be invited to grace Beloy’s Lechon Belly opening at NCCC Mall.

We we’re given a taste of a genuine Cebu lechonrecipe that is pure belly. It was seasoned with a lot of herbs (in which they don’t want to divulge when we asked for it) and I can attest that there’s really no need for the lechon sauce. I’m fond of eating salty foods and I am in love with pork so my verdict for its salty and aromatic taste plus its juiciness and the tenderness of its meat is an A+.
Their secret ingredient is worth keeping.

Oh for the love of lechon, I highly recommend that you try them out. Buy the worth of your money with these boneless lechon --- just pure belly. Welcome their first branch which they decided to establish in Davao to serve us Dabawenyos first.

Don’t you just love this chunk of pork lechonon your dining table? Yummy :)
Happy Noche Buena lovies. Merry Christmas ^^,

TFS, Pau <3
