Tested&Tasted: Jollibee Crispy Wings

Have you ever had that situation where in you wanted to eat chicken for snacks? I do experience that most of the time. I'd end up eating rice as well because it's a meal and disregarding it would be a waste. If you can relate with me, worry not. Jollibee introduces their "crispy wings" meal which we can enjoy at any time of the day be it breakfast, lunch, dinner and even merienda. In addition to that, it only costs P70.

It's two crispy chicken wings at a lesser price. Something new brought to us by Jollibee. If you want it to be a heavy meal, go for the rice and if you wanted to have it as your snacks, go for the fries as its partner. The choice is yours. Amazing, right?

When this was introduced at SM Davao, everybody was given a taste of their delicious and oh so crispy chicken wings for free. I know a lot of people were surprised when the staff of Jollibee suddenly started to groove and it was only after Mr. Rovic Cuasito's spiel that they were informed that Jollibee indeed would let them taste their newest addition to their menu.

And for another sursprise *drum roll* Behold, Jollibee's Crispy Wings Hour. I'm glad to inform you that every Friday, from 3pm to 4pm, Jollibee is giving away free samples of the Jollibee Crispy Wings—its newest and crispiest snack offering yet—to all dining customers in 120 participating stores nationwide.

Photo ops with Sir Rovic Cuasito

I'm not a fan of this chicken part --- wings. However, Jollibee's Crispy Wings is an exception. They are  rolled on a different breading which makes it taste more like a snack that a viand. The invited Davao bloggers were given two options for the sauce: Lumpiang shanghai sauce and  sweet and spicy. It actually tastes good with either of the two. Moreover, the chicken is surprisingly crispy so I'm rating it 4/5.

Lola's Girl

When I stated before that my mother is my number one fan, I was mistaken. Somebody bagged the title from  the day I was born up until now. This person has been the first mother to me, my first mentor, my supporter, my adviser, my protector and my best friend.

This post is dedicated to my dearest Lola. I was given away after birth and my grandmother gladly accepted to take care of me for good. For some reason after a year, my mom took me back and they brought me to Manila leaving my grandmother alone at our province.

She couldn't bare losing me so she went to Manila from time to time until she lived with us and continued taking care of me. Fast forward to the present, it was still her by my side. She's the one collecting my pictures from different events and compiling them, the one who's eager to know the latest happenings in my love life, the one who takes care of me and the one who boasts my achievements and story tells about them.

Now I'm being so sensitive. I'm okay. I'm just glad to take my grandmother to another date. As what I've said in my post here.

My boyfriend and I took her out for snacks and a movie. Simple things may bring great joys to the ones we love. I do believe that the best things in life our free. In my Lola's case I know it's just my effort, time and love <3

Blurred pictures. We kept on moving because Lola is shy to face the camera :)

That's it. My thoughts shared since I've been MIA for a while now.

Warm Rainy Days

For those who guessed that the title comes from a romantically involved person, I guess you're right. To love and feel loved is a very warm feeling a person can enjoy. These are some of the feelings which makes a relationship long and lasting.

Now, forget about the drama. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 11th monthsary by going some place else, even if it is raining. I must say that the ratio of this relationship is 50:50. 50% love and 50% eatfest. Instead of visiting the usual, we grabbed our lunch at Boyd's Pizza House.

We've been hearing a lot of compliments about their food and we'd like to try it for ourselves. After eyeing it for quite some time, we finally conquered the resto! Hey, just a random recall of me reading a complaint from a blog about their area. Boyd's seems to have a shabby place but I like it just the way it is. Simple. In addition, they make up with their food so what's a  superb interior if the food is inferior, right?

Ughh! I hate my self for not jotting down the names and prices of what we had. I want to give you not just our perspective of what we had during that time but I also hope to give you a preview of what they have in store for you. I shall post a review when I get to have a time to go back. What I can assure you now is the food, place and price is mighty fine. Moreover, I must say that say have a very accommodating and friendly staff to think that they are guys. We're impressed and looking forward to dropping by and pigging out their lustful delicacies.

Curiosity strikes me and I wish to do have an interview with someone who's in charge. Let's know their brief background or even something about their humble beginnings, what do you think? :)

Try it for yourselves :)

OOTD: Put Yourself in My Shorts

As haggard as I'll ever be. This was taken when I had that styling project with my best friend done for her friend. Imagine how anxious and happy I am for being trusted to do that. Anyways, this is a backlog obviously. I've been trying to post a lot of write ups since several future events are lined up already. I don't want them to get accumulated because it's harder to recall some happenings/experiences when several days already passed. As much as possible I want to post them right after the event *fingers crossed*

Now this is what I wore:

Sheer Blouse: Pickled and Peppered
Shorts and Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Natasia
Accessories: Butingtings

I have to do some errands for that day which means I'll be moving a lot so I decided to wear the most comfortable pieces in my closet. You can never go wrong with a blouse and a pair of shorts. They're closet staples which you can flexibly and comfortably wear. Sheer blouses may not show more than enough skin or may not be body-contouring but it's sheerness characteristic is what makes you sexy in it. The shorts on the other hand would always be my favorite - flexible, gives you additional height (your legs appear to be longer) and it's a must-wear for a tropical country like the Philippines.

Ciao for now. I think I need to sleep :)
Goodnight dearest readers.

Surprised

I was out for a long time and wasn't able to update my blog. Define BUSY. Aside from my personal schedule, my uncle who just  bought a house somewhere in Tigatto (sounds far, it's really a far place) needs to transfer by the end of October. Since I live with them, I have to pack things and get ready to move in to a new home.

It's a 45 minute travel from downtown but can be cut to 30 minutes if your on your own wheels. They we're very lucky to buy a corner lot plus another lot beside it which makes it very spacious. Surprisingly, I like the place except when the sun starts to rise. The temperature there annoys me in ways you can't imagine.

So that explains why I was missing in action. NO internet connection until next week. Today's my first day in class since we had our sembreak. Hangover -.- Being lost in the blogosphere/cyberzone for a few days makes me surprised that there were a lot of changes, notifications, back, logs, upcoming events plus schooling. Oh no!  ...will cope up with these changes real soon.

Now do you want to see my surprised/unprepared face?

I'm not confronted with my parent's homily, a proposal or even a professor asking me a difficult question. I was just introduced to a group of Japanese eating their dinner. It was a majestically awkward entrance. They all stopped eating, turned my way and give compliments. Awkward me, responding awkwardly.

Top: Pickled and Peppered.
Need to head to class first. I hope you had a surprisingly (non-awkward) memorable first day be it at work or at school. Ciao for now.

2nd Month Blogsary Giveaway

I’m giddy and excited because my blog turned two months old and I appreciate those who visit it. After two months, 52 posts, 3k page views and a few followers, I decided to host another giveaway.

For book lovers and fashion enthusiasts, maybe you have long before met book clutches. They’re clutches that are designed and shaped like books, obviously. Isn't it unique and chic? Hollywood celebrities add an extra spice in their outfit using these babies. I, for one, am a lover of this innovation in fashion. It makes you look fashionably and intellectually cool.

It’s just wonderful that I found an online store in Manila who sells book clutches. The design above is a design I chose personally. It’s spacious enough for you to put your inevitable things to bring. Look above and you can see that I've managed to put my phone, glasses, pen, lipstick and my keys. It’s very handy.

Now, for my surprise since Christmas is fast approaching and I don’t want you to get an empty book clutch I’ll be putting an item inside/having additional giveaway prizes every week because the giveaway will run for 4 weeks. That means the prizes is not just a book clutch but 4 more surprise pieces for 1 lucky reader.

And now for my giveaway, which is a book clutch from Sweetiepies (…and more) here are the 8 easy steps for my dear readers to follow:
