Tested&Tasted: Cafe France (Bolton)

Cafe France is known for their fresh and healthy food. Unlike other Cafes, they are more renowned for their fresh bread and pasta. This disregards the thought that cafes are just a place to hangout and sip a cup of coffee.

Now, I know this place and their prices can be intimidating for some but I'm really excited to share (for those who are not aware) an existing promo where you can avail their delicious salad and pastries for only half of it's original price.

This specific post, however, pertains to its Bolton branch (just above the Manila Bulletin office) only. It was placed in a busy area yet only a few customers eat at the place because I guess there is a problem with the visibility of the entrance to the cafe. So, allow me to share our inexpensive and worthy experience at this cafe.

I went there with my boyfriend's family. Tita Susan decided to eat dinner at Cafe France after we attended the mass. We're just in time for dinner and for the 50% discount for pastries and salad.

What am I talking about?

These mouth-watering regular orders are excluded from the discount yet all your fresh greens and freshly baked breads are included. Talk about affordable and healthy food. Indeed, we experienced a sumptuous dinner and here's what we got:

We took advantage of the salads and pastries! Since we saved a lot because of the BIG discount, we ordered pastas as well. It was money well-spent :)

It's also good to know that Cafe France is not just great for their food but for the store's ambiance as well. It has undeniably managed to be a relaxing place to hangout and start a meaningful conversation even though it's placed in the noisy streets of Bolton. Overruled by street foods, tiangge and commercial spaces, Cafe France stood out of all the business establishments in the area without being out of place but letting people be out of the "busy Bolton" place once they managed to enter the cafe.

With it's modern classic type of interior, it releases a very relaxing vibe to its customers who opt to spend a quiet meal, fine food and good company. I highly recommend the place and please do avail the 50% discount for pastries and salad which starts from 6 o'clock in the evening and ends at 11 o' clock (every single day).

. . .and because we can't get enough of it, we had a second visit to celebrate our 1st anniversary.
It just had to be a special place . . .
Some place like,
Cafe France.

Oishii Sumo Sam

I have always loved Italian/Mexican/American dishes but this night we’ve gone Japanese. To veer away with the usual fast food chains and restaurants, my boyfriend and I decided to dine at Sumo Sam, Abreeza. Checked their menu and thought of splurging (minsan lang naman eh, haha!). There’s really a great difference between a high-end restaurant’s staff compared to somefast food chains’ crew. I must say that in this branch, their staff was well-trained and not ill-mannered. It’s a part of a customer’s total dining experience. I’m giving them a perfect 5 for the service.

Their menu. It's very cute :)

California Roll Php218
Chicken Teriyaki Plate Php288
Tonkatsu (Curry Ramen) Php168

Now, my most favorite part which is the food. I love all of them, all of which we have ordered. I've had Teriyaki Plate which for me is perfect because it’s meat is tender and very flavorful. The chicken almost tastes like pork. Love at first taste it is. That was were my post title came from. Oishii means tasty or flavorful in Japan. The California Roll was scrumptious especially the crab meat toppings. I’m not fond of eating sea foods but I liked this one. Go for their California Roll (a.ka. California Maki) it’s one of their must-tries. Hmm, about the Ramen, I don’t like meat to be cooked that way (with soup). However, my partner really liked it. He appreciates more varieties of food more than I do. That’s it. I’m giving 4/5 rating for the delicious meal. I don’t know how we finished all the gigantic (big serving) dishes. We were really stuffed afterwards.

Happy tummy :)

You might want to visit their newest branch at SM Lanang Premier.

A Taste of Hollywood

Script-Designed Menu
My gluttony partner <3

I was dismissed early from class and decided to have milk tea at Gaisano Mall. Good thing the place was crowded so we ended up visiting the peak and there we saw HOLLYWOOD BURGERS. That was our first time to visit the place and we'll surely come back.

AMBIENCE 4/5

The concept of the restaurant itself is already inviting and the atmosphere inside makes you feel like you're really in Hollywood. Oh! The chairs really caught our attention. It looked like Director's seats inked with famous Hollywood actor's names. I really love the place. Aside from they have good food, they also have clean restroom as well. It's a must for me. :">

FOOD 4/5

She's Crazy Burger P169
Donkey's Favorites (Pancakes) P99
Hollywood Sour Cream Fries P65
Iced Tea P25

As I've said, the food is good and we'll be be visiting again. It's affordable and your money would  be worth it since everything is big. Literally BIG. The burger is flavorful. The patty of the one I ordered was cooked in the way I wanted it to be - well done with the right proportion of  fats in it.
 Perfectly crazy! :)

What was your recent food tripping experience? :">
